Design and build:

Klipsch R-41M is slightly larger than the Polk T15. These bookshelf speakers are available in simple black color. Polk T15 speaker has a vented enclosure that you can put on speaker stand (30-36”) or mount on walls. With a front bass port, the speaker is flexible for placement. It has an MDF cabinet that will minimize distortion while ensuring clean audio.

Klipsch R-41M has a bass reflex cabinet. It is made of MDF and has rubber feet for stability. Since there is a rear firing port, you need to have some gap from back wall during positioning them. The drivers are protected by a black colored fabric grille that attaches to the speaker magnetically.

Comparing Klipsch R-41M vs Polk T15, the Klipsch R-41M deals with the high ends in an improved way. Polk T15 has a larger woofer than the Polk T15 along with a front port.Polk T15 has 0.75” tweeter and 5.25” woofer. The speakers are balanced and bring out the details. They are great at such a price point. They deliver sound throughout the room so that every listener can listen to the speakers effectively. When we played recordings, we heard accuracy and preciseness. Polk T15 speakers have decent imaging and good dynamic range. We watched TV and movie shows with any major issues.

Klipsch R-41M has 1” tweeter and 4” woofer. The 1” tweeter incorporates Tractrix Horn and LTS suspension. This ensures the speakers have a broader soundstage and good dynamics. The Kapton used improves efficiency while bringing out the details. It also has a 4” Injection Molded Graphite IMG woofer. This makes the It has a flared port that is made to match with the overall design, and it effectively eliminates any port noise. The speakers can deliver a deep and articulate bass.

With a sensitivity of 90dB, the speakers can get quite loud. When we cranked up the volume, the speakers maintained their clarity. Instrumental sounds and vocal clarity are top notch. You can listen to music and movies through them quite easily. The speakers are capable of producing a balanced sound profile.

Use case and installation:

Klipsch R-41M is a suitable model for small to medium sized spaces. You can pair it with Pioneer SX 424, Fosi Audio TB10A amplifier, Onkyo or Yamaha receiver.

Polk T15 is good as surround speakers. They can also be used as front stereo speakers in small rooms or offices. You can choose one from the following models: Pioneer SC-55 receiver, Onkyo, Denon or Marantz receiver.

Speaker placement:

Place the Klipsch R-41M speaker 6-15’ away from each other. Adjust the sitting spot within 1-1.5 times that of the distance between the speakers. In case the speakers are used as rear option, then they should be 2’ above the sitting position. Place them on stands or shelves that are 5-7’ above the floor.  

While placing the Polk T15 speakers, try placing them from 5 to 8’ from the sitting position. Keep them at ear level and create an equilateral triangle with the user. This means the distance between the speakers and speaker to user should be equal. Angle them and adjust the angle.

Compatible devices:

With Polk T15, you can connect T50 floorstanding speaker and T30 center channel speaker. Connect the Klipsch R-41M bookshelf speakers with floorstanding speakers (R-610F/R-620F/R-820F/R-625FA), bookshelf speaker (R-51M), center channel speakers (R-34C/R-52C), Dolby Atmos speaker (R-41SA) and a powered subwoofer.

Comparing Klipsch R-41M vs Polk T15, the Polk T15 is cheaper than the R-41M Klipsch speakers. While the Polk T15 is found under $100, the Klipsch R-41M is available for under $150.
