Design

The W5700 looks very nice. It seems like a luxury gadget as it is large and heavy. Many times, users describe it as a living room statement item. Its sleek, businesslike attitude comes from its matte black appearance. Its size, however, was seen as a disadvantage by some, as it is not something one could simply move around. One user noted that given its weight and proportions, arranging it on a smaller shelf was difficult.

Although the side vents help to keep it cool, several users reported that the fan noise is somewhat evident in calm movie sequences. If you find background noise-sensitive, you should give it some thought.

Conversely, the W2700 is far more portable and small. Many customers like that it fits rather well in compact areas. Modern design with silver and white accents well complements most home décor. 

Being tiny does not, however, equate to perfection. The build quality, several customers believed, lacked the strength of the W5700. Less ventilation also exists, which might make it heated after long usage.

Go for the W5700 if you want something elegant and are not bothered about size. The W2700 excels, nevertheless, if mobility and space-saving take the front stage.

Connectivity

This device has great interface options, including two HDMI 2.0 ports, USB-A and USB mini-B ports, and a LAN port for updating the software. It also backs HDR10 and 3D material. Connecting their Blu-ray players, game consoles, or streaming gadgets came naturally to most consumers.

A few customers did note, however, that there is no built-in Wi-Fi. For some, this may not be a dealbreaker; however, if you like wireless configurations, you will require a wireless HDMI transmitter or extra streaming stick.

One player expressed disappointment for fast-paced games while mentioning little PS5 input latency. Still, the connection choices for films worked well.

With two HDMI 2.0 connections, USB ports, and compatibility for 4K HDR video, the W2700 offers similar connectivity choices to the W5700. Unlike the W5700, however, it has built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, which facilitates wirelessly connecting to computers or cellphones.

One customer hailed this function, stating it made family movie evenings hassle-free as they didn't have to play around with cords. On the other hand, a few customers noted that, particularly while streaming 4K material, the Wi-Fi may be somewhat slow. You may run into certain problems if you are mostly depending on a wireless connection.

For people who give wired connections a first priority and are not bothered about utilizing outside devices for wifi, the W5700 is excellent Although the W2700 is more flexible, its wireless capabilities might be a hit-miss.

Performance

A performance monster, the W5700 is Perfect for home theaters, users blast its 4K UHD resolution and DCI-P3 color accuracy. It felt like watching a movie in a proper cinema. For gloomy interiors, the black tones are deep and the colors are striking. But the brightness is where several people discovered problems. It suffers in highly light settings at 1,800 lumens. You may want blackout curtains if you want to use them in a room with plenty of natural light. Regarding gaming, consumers had conflicting experiences. The sights were amazing, however for professional players the input lag—about 60 ms—was clearly visible.

Though its color fidelity is somewhat worse than that of the W5700, the W2700 also offers 4K UHD resolution. Until they were personally comparing the two, most users were unable to discern the difference.

Better for daylight usage, it is somewhat brighter than the W5700 at 2,000 lumens. Those who see a lot of movies with dark sequences may find the black levels less deep to be problematic, nevertheless. Slightly with input latency, gaming performance is like that of the W5700. One casual player said that although it was good for RPGs, FPS games suffered. Movie buffs seeking the highest color fidelity and not minding a dark environment will find the W5700 a winner. For mixed-use, particularly if you want to see it throughout the day, the W2700 is more flexible.

Where and When to Use Them

Designed for either dedicated home theaters or living rooms with lighting control, the W5700 is better as a permanent installation as it is not moveable. One customer said it started to take the front stage on Friday movie evenings.

Smaller and brighter, the W2700 performs well in living rooms, bedrooms, or even for outdoor movie evenings. One user brought it for an improvised outdoor movie on a camping vacation, and it worked well after sunset.

Choose the W5700 if you want a set-up for a stationary home theater. It is better for more adaptable use is the W2700.

Compatible Devices

Both projectors accept a broad spectrum of devices, ranging from laptops to Blu-ray players to streaming sticks. The W2700's wireless features, which enable you to link tablets or smartphones without additional hardware, define most differences.

Ease of Use

Given its weight and scale, configuring the W5700 may be a little intimidating. One user said two people needed to mount it firmly. Once it's set up, however, the on-screen interface is really simple.

Thanks to its simpler construction and wireless capabilities, the W2700 is easier to set up. One customer said they were operational ten minutes after unpacking.

Should simplicity be of importance to you, the W2700 is more manageable. Although the W5700 calls for more work, once set up it offers a premium experience.

Cost

Though most customers thought the W5700 was worth the investment if you're serious about home cinema, it is on the more expensive side. A few, meanwhile, believed that its lack of brightness reduces its worth for mixed-use. For the price, the W2700 provides outstanding performance and is more financially friendly. Those seeking a compromise between price and quality typically find their way toward this approach. For movie buffs who want the very best, the W5700 is fantastic. Budgeters or casual users will find the W2700 more suited.
